Lift high the cross, the love of Christ proclaim
Till all the world adore his sacred name

Exalt on high his holy cross! Jesus who reigns has saved the lost!
This crimson wood, a victorious sign of the mercy and the love of Christ.

Each newborn servant of the Crucified
Bears on the brow the seal of him who died.

O Lord once lifted on the glorious tree,
Your death has bought us life eternally.
